  • Where I worked we had a bigass map broken out into a grid. If you didn’t know where an address was you could pull out a huge book that had the grid sectioned by street/block address (at least where I worked). So for example if someone had 12013 Lemmy Ln. You could look up in the book Lemmy Ln. Block 12000 and find it was on A4. You learned the entire service area pretty damn quick so like 99% of the time you knew where it was off the top of your head.

It was fun as fuck. Like the most fun job I ever had. I wish money wasn’t as important cause I would’ve done that job for the rest of my life.

  • Also could be someone that responds to negative posts/reactions more and just lurks. I used to be that way in early days of reddit. Most of my votes were downvotes with very few upvotes given out. As I got a bit older I kind if quit giving much of a shit, and now I seek out positive posts instead of looking for negative shit all the time.

Either way votes are even more futile on lemmy. They barely have any impact on anything and it’s not like the threads here reach the thousands of comments where a relatively few votes would bury a comment. There’s also no karma so it’s even less impactful. I personally think it’s good that way but whatever. To each their own!

  • I think most foods. Soup, stew, and some sauces I’m fine with reheated/leftover. I still think it changes the flavor though and for sure screws with the texture. Air fryer/convection ovens make some things okay to reheat but again still screws with flavor/texture. I personally just would rather make meals fresh.

Some people just prefer meal prepping and that’s fine. There’s also a fairly sizable contingent of people that if you asked them if they could just take a pill instead of eating they would be perfectly happy doing so. It’s just not for me. I personally really like to cook and I also enjoy eating the things I cook. So I’m kind of on the other side of that spectrum.
