    Of course we do!
It’s called the Fossil Fuel Industry.
It’s slow and not well targeted. But if you have a century to put into the project, you can do some real damage.

And it’s not like you have to put the full effort in, Mother Nature will do a lot of the rest if you just push the boulder a bit to get it rolling. Humans are not the only cause of climate change, they simply were the catalyst to get it going. Which also means that if we did the unthinkable and stopped all emissions now and forever, the boulder is still rolling down the hill now. It’s why Net Zero^™ is just greenwashing and not some solution.

But they do have the technology to manipulate large masses of morons into believing that anthropogenic climate change isn’t real, so that they can continue belching millions of tons of CO2 & Methane into the atmosphere, to make those hurricanes worse.

The cross section of people who will read this and those who need to read it is basically nonexistent. But seriously, who’s spreading this particular bag of crazy? Russia? China? Iran? Israel?

Humans don’t have the technology to manipulate society to deal with the climate crisis. But then we can’t get a four-day work-week in the US because a handful of billionaires oppose it.

So far, we’re showing about the impetus that cyanobacteria had when it was their turn to kill off the planet. It would have been better if they could have stopped multiplying but they couldn’t help themselves. We can’t help ourselves either, just with extra steps to reach the same position.

I mean… I’m pretty sure we could if we tried. It just wouldn’t be able to manipulate them much.

Like… what if we built, like, a really big wall to stop the wind? Used lasers to heat it up? Throw thumbtacks into it to make it SPIKY?

Did someone seriously take time to consider the garbage pouring from the mouths of those people? Same people gibbering about space lasers, drinking lye and whatever? They say ANYTHING to spread their hate and further their goals. I grow tired how people continue to be surprised how despicable they continue to prove themselves and seem to think their words hold any value. I hope none with skill to do anything worthwhile took any time to look into this instead of doing something more worthy, even taking a shit.

Not saying this would be realistic, but it’s hard to believe a tsar Bomba sized detonation in the eye of a hurricane wouldn’t do something to destabilize the storm.

That said it boggles the mind to consider the system energy of a large storm.
