In what way? Guys popping wheelies to impress girls was definitely a thing before the internet. I’m pretty sure that’s why the wheelie was invented.

Or other smart watch considering it has large blacked out (sleeping) screen.

Weirds me out that she’s got the watch in right hand though

If you’re left handed the right hand is the normal hand for a watch, it’s not that unusual.

Admittedly it’s less common to see anyone wearing a watch now, and there’s less of a reason to put it on your right hand now that most people don’t handwrite regularly.

Right, I guess I mean I don’t see how the sentiment of wanting to show off for ladies has really changed that much post internet. To me this picture speaks more towards how motorcycles impacted simping, and I’m pretty sure that’s the whole reason motorcycles were invented.

The picture is clearly far too high quality for pre-internet. Technically it could be a DSLR or something, but almost certainly this was a phone camera, so it must be fairly modern.

My bad, I meant the activity depicted in the picture (popping a wheelie to try to impress a girl) could easily be from a pre-internet time.

This is not from before the internet

Besides the clothing, the apple watch and the actual heart gesture itself, you’d be called gay if you ever rode a bike with a helmet back then, and on top of that made fun of for wearing goggles

I agree this isn’t an old pic but this statement reads like you’ve never been offroading on a bike. The first time you’re riding and a branch hits your head when you’re blasting down a trail or get mud in your eye during a maneuver, you’ll grab that protective gear, trust me.

No i know. The point is, they wouldn’t back in the 80s unless they were pro’s. You would definetelly not be wearing one if you were trying to impress a girl back then

It’s what we used to photograph each other as teens back then. You could buy it anywhere and there was place you could drop off your rolls and pick them up developed an hour later. You didn’t even have to leave your car. Girls back then were always doing one half of the heart and getting their friend to do the other.

Mom jeans were big back then too, as were dirt bikes. Lots of guys were wearing fox gear as Jeremy McGrath was a big motocross star. I could see this entire scene play out the same way back then. You kids are exactly like your parents.
