  • Of course it’s more than just the boomers. But once those two generations are dead and gone, they take their lack of empathy and their unfettered narcissism with them.

And I know a few boomers who got plenty of their bullshit from those sites because those sites were just a circlejerk of Fox News lies.

I’m not saying younger generations won’t also have a collection of morons as well, but those generations grew up with this nonsense and they will forever remember the kind of country and world that was left to them.

  • Price controls are the only viable solution if monopolies aren’t broken up and if collusion is rampant effectively removing competition. While I know of no direct evidence While I do not know of any direct evidence of collusion between grocers, the effects seem quite clear to me when nearly every grocer seems to be taking in record profits while many groceries are still 2-5 times higher than just five years ago.

Also, if this issue is the litmus test for some people on whether they would vote for Trump over Harris, those people should have their head examined. While Harris lacks some specifics here, Trump has nothing — plus he’s a lying, misogynistic, sociopathic convicted felon — so yes, I agree, Harris is the obvious choice.

Edit> Word change to more accurately represent my intent.

  • Yep, Unity DE had ads. Then people revolted and Canonical eventually got rid of them and also switched to base Gnome with some extensions.

It definitely happened, I saw it in real time on my install of Ubuntu. But they learned their lesson on this one, I feel.

Not sure why there are some who think this is still a thing, though.

Side note: I’ve not run Ubuntu as my desktop OS I’m quite some time, opting instead for Garuda as of late and have seen no ads thus far :)
