Right, what’s ‘Dutch’?
Right, what’s ‘Dutch’?
Oh wow, I obviously didn’t read the article. Shame on me. Had no idea they had that few on staff.
Interesting to hear about Brook’s Law. Thanks!
From what I’ve read about their Daily Active Users they’re going to be overstaffed soon. No hate but they exploded and when things settle they might not need as much staff. Thoughts?
Sad, he probably would’ve broken 2 hours.
I’m at a point where I wish our support forum was at least on Discord, the majority of my community is pretty old but it spans down into a handful of Gen Z with more Millennials and Z coming in as the Boomers get out. Even so the main forum is a Facebook page. Splinter groups using WhatsApp, Signal and iMessage. It’s not like the older gen is technically inept, for the most part, it’s just they’re entrenched and moving them would take a massive, easy to use software that is far superior to FB’s viability. Personally using Discord and it’s seamless jump from PC-Laptop-Phone is nice, admittedly I’m in the same mindset of those in my groups on FB as I haven’t tried anything else.
Nobody, “It’s just a prank bro!”.
Not comparing, we have our own issues, but the US just said not wearing a mask in public is akin to not paying taxes or speeding - it’s still illegal and not free speech because it affects others.
I’m just having trouble picturing how the spacer works without ripping the waffle apart when removed. Is it like a rod? Cause I’m picturing a ping pong paddle type spacer but that wouldn’t pull out, or are the waffle top and bottom not cooked together?
Yeah but tell me more about this stuffed waffle maker. I have never heard of these and as I type I realize I sound like the shill part two… still curious though, does it make like a waffle sandwich?
No, they don’t mean Jews religiously. They mean Jewish through heritage, similar to the way many countries do citizenship by birthright rather than birthplace (like the US does). In Hebrew law(?) the birthright is passed down by the mother as prior to genealogy that was a surefire way of proving your parent is who they say they are.
My information is secondhand and any corrections are welcome.
Edit: read below for more accurate information.
That’s their point.
It’s weird though my 1920s price research shows $20.67 per Troy Ounce. Example: https://sdbullion.com/gold-price-by-year
I might be mistaken and that’s the US government’s set price for gold in the early 1900s, a lot of these other links show it closer to 10x that value.
Sub 2% interest rates for 2 years for loans and then jumped to ~8%
Market is wildly variable.
Yeah I was going to say Upper Middle Class but I’ve seen some dumpy houses for those prices and it’s really titled by if you bought when interest rates were low vs the last year or so.
Which one? Gold was $20.67 per Troy ounce in 1920, that’s about $664.55 per kilo. 10 kilos about $6,645.55 I’m believing the first search result https://www.countryliving.com/life/g33398396/what-things-cost-100-years-ago/ says that matches up. Gold is about $64,900 per kilo today so $649,000 for 10 bars, that’s a low cost of living middle class place or HCOL very small house that needs renovation. I could see you meaning these days and houses in some areas are in the $6 million range, guess they should be location specific.
How do I sub to that? It says view on lemmy.world but won’t let me switch over.
First thought as well 😂
