Idk it hurts my skeleton just thinking about it.

I’ve heard that this is instinctual. We have evolved to find crying and upset children intolerable because it motivates us to do something about it.
Children are also exceptional and figuring out how to push our buttons because they instinctively find and repeat behaviors that get a reaction out of their caregivers when they desire attention.
Unfortunately the most motivating emotions are often negative ones.
I have so many. Here are some top ones:
I suggest therapy instead of asking random people on social media. This sounds way too important to leave to Lemmy comments.
You can use party voice chat on your phone (Xbox app) while playing the game on your Linux PC.
Most distros can even connect to your phone via Bluetooth and you can mix the audio+microphone into your PC headset.
I’ve done this before in KDE Plasma and it worked seamlessly.
It’s way easier to move from one Linux distro to another if Valve starts enshittifying SteamOS (which would really suck) than it is to move from Windows to Linux. Either way this is a good stepping stone that’s well supported.
I’m starting to feel like the Cyberpunk 2077 version of the internet is not too far-fetched. It’s split into 2 parts:
The “old net” - This has been completely overrun by AI programs that are so fast and powerful they almost immediately compromise any non-AI powered system that connects to it.
The “net” - Blocked off from the old net by the “Blackwall” (a big firewall that keeps all AI out) is basically your standard internet that humans use via cybernetic implants.
I honestly could see AI basically filling the internet with so much garbage and malware that it becomes completely unusable. This is already starting to happen. However, if we create a new one with just human-controlled computers, I don’t see how we could stop people from just connecting AI to that one.
I don’t think Factorio ever goes on sale but imo it’s worth full price.
If you like Satisfactory, there’s an extremely high chance you’ll like Factorio. The main differences are the obvious 2D top-down vs 3D 1st person and Factorio has a robust military/combat system with base defense while Satisfactory is mostly peaceful unless you’re exploring.
Factorio.
Everything—the gameplay, the music, the art style—feels like I hand selected it. There’s not a single decision the devs made that I wouldn’t have made too.
I thought iPhones did that secretly for a while and a it was a big scandal.
Drug tests usually have to be disclosed, so you can check for that. But don’t just ask them straight up if they drug test—that is incredibly suspicious. Instead ask for their policies and/or employee handbook where that will be disclosed. Generally you should try to stay sober while job hunting for several reasons, primarily because some tests can detect residual evidence for months.
Regarding social media, that depends. It’s best to just assume they would and clean up anything that’s public. You should probably do this all the time, but doubly so when job hunting.
Current or past employees (would-be-peers, not managers) are an excellent resource for all kinds of information, including this stuff.
This looks super cool. I’m going to try this out.
Read the latest reviews and you’ll hear differently.
This latest generation of ARC GPUs is very promising. I’m really glad there’s finally some good budget gaming GPUs out there. Intel has really committed to this product line, and I really hope it continues to pay off.
The price/performance is fantastic, the power efficiency is decent, and the feature set is way beyond expectations–almost caught up with Nvidia on their second attempt. The rate of improvement is impressive.
I have some friends still on GTX 10 series cards that would love this upgrade. That being said, personally, there’s no reason for me to switch yet. As soon as Intel has something that can beat an RTX 3080Ti via higher tiers or next gen, I’ll gladly ditch Nvidia.
The two AC games where people complained the story was too long and monotonous? Great idea.
Oh, benevolent Nintendo has graced us with the ability to play some more classic ROMS as long as we stay subscribed to their shitty online service.
I win a lot of bets by telling people I can do a full 360 without breaking eye contact. If you can balance while bending over backwards and spinning it’s not too hard.
More users.
But seriously, more ports of and/or viable alternatives to professional applications. It’s the top reason people stick with Windows—even when they don’t like it.
