Never follow the money. Never follow the money. Nothing is worse than having your soul sucked out of you hour by hour because you wanted to “follow the money.”
I’m sick and tired of this Reddit-ass kind of “advice” meant only for neurotypical white men. Male defaultism is one of many things we should not import here.
Zero trust. Assume everything is compromised and mitigate the risk from each thing that is compromised.
ISP spying on you? VPN, encryption, spoof a metadata trail to throw off any potential correlation attacks.
Compromised modem? Air gap stuff, use wired LAN, some other stuff idk.
And so on. Just keep in mind that sometimes, your data just isn’t that valuable, and plan accordingly
I think P2P especially BitTorrent is still strongly resistant against any type of fed fuckery, especially if you consider private trackers.
Streaming piracy sites are always going to fall because of DNS and other bullshit.
P2P code repo when? Git needs to die in 2025
FOSS FOSS FOSS and self-host.
Seems sort of insane for daily wear, but I think having a camera for walks or jogs isn’t the worst idea if you’ve got the money. I’d make sure the security and privacy of the camera and recorder are tip-top though
Stop gaslighting me.
Mozilla’s telemetry change in Thunderbird Android makes me say “find a different client.”
Generally, you should pick and choose your battles. Mozilla on the whole isn’t a company whose software I trust anymore.
Private tracker admins are autistic and anal as fuck, but in fairness that’s kind of the whole point of it being a private tracker. If you don’t care about trust, quality, or anything else, use all the public trackers out there.
There’s definitely a power dynamic in play, but when you’re doing crime, I feel like it’s worth it. Oh and typically, if you’re dealing with a Cabal tracker, they will want to know if you’re a part of trackers that go against their morals (e.g. Lolicon)
Capital is the problem, not nationality.
Mutual aid is not giving random internet assholes money because they begged for it. I’m not saying they should be banned from doing so, but calling it mutual aid is 100% a scam. Mutual aid is given freely, within a pre-established network.
Hosting a friend on your couch for a week cause they’re in between apartments is mutual aid. Feeding your friends without expecting anything in return is mutual aid. Enabling e-begging is not mutual aid.
Kindly go fuck yourself sir!
