Using Signal with disappearing messages set to a really short time is probably the closest thing you can get. You can use a VOIP number from Cloaked behind a VPN to sign up anonymously.
Pro tip: Infect your Windows friends with malware, then get them to switch to Linux

For security reasons GrapheneOS doesn’t allow the modification of system files. You can achieve the same thing with DNS though. Either self-host a Pi-Hole or AdGuard Home, or use something like NextDNS.
I wouldn’t recommend a Pixel older than the Pixel 6 as these will soon be EOL.
It’s literally Chinese government spyware
Use GrapheneOS and avoid tracking and data collection of any kind, free yourself from Google and other Big Tech companies and use open source software to guarantee your personal privacy and security.
On average I get like an hour and a half of screen time per day. I use my phone to message people on Signal, I connect it to my bluetooth earbuds and listen to music or a podcast when I go for a run and I occasionally like to take photos. I don’t waste my time scrolling through TikTok for 8 hours like many other people unfortunately do. One week of battery life is pretty rare, but it has happened before. As I said, usually I get 2-3 days out of it when I it charge up to 80%. (charging up to 100% is bad for battery health, so I try to avoid it). I’m sure you will be fine. You can get a Pixel, install Graphene, try it out and give it back and receive a refund if you don’t like it. That’s the good thing about Pixels, installing a custom OS doesn’t void the warranty or anything like that. You can just revert back to the stock OS and everything will be fine.
I’ve been using a Pixel 6a with GrapheneOS and the battery life is just fantastic. Sometimes I can go for a whole week without charging, but this is the exception. But under normal circumstances, I still get like 3 days of battery life. You don’t need to be worried about that at all, battery life is even improved on GrapheneOS compared to the Stock ROM.
You technically can root (https://xdaforums.com/t/guide-pixel-6-oriole-unlock-bootloader-update-root-pass-safetynet.4356233/), but I wouldn’t recommend it. I wouldn’t recommend rooting any version of Android, it unnecessarily increases attack surface.
Not using Windows kinda solves this problem. It also solves many other problems lol
I once did something even dumber. When I was new to Linux and the CLI, I added a recursive line to my shell config that would add it self to the shell config. So I pretty much had exponential growth of my shell config and my shell would take ~20 seconds to start up before I found the broken code snippet.
There’s a list of apps that work and those that don’t work. Most banking apps should work though as the GrapheneOS passes Google SafetyNet checks.
I think something might be wrong with your Neovim if it aggregated 70 gigs of log files.
Use GrapheneOS. It never has this bug to begin with, as the team found and fixed it while porting the OS to Android 14. https://grapheneos.social/@GrapheneOS/111309676504712576
GrapheneOS also has many other significant privacy and security improvements compared to the stock OS, it’s definitely worth checking out.
Notesnook is cool, I used Standard Notes before but the Notesnook UI is much better, especially on the mobile apps. I don’t know if they are profitable right now, but their business model is just their premium plan for 5 bucks/month. They might have lower expenses for staff though because IIRC they’re a small team from Pakistan, where wages are obviously lower than in Western countries. Everything is end-to-end encrypted and their apps as well as their backend infrastructure are open source.
Get the fuck out with this proprietary cancer. All of the software listed in the blog post is spyware. Google can go fuck themselves, no one on this planet should be giving up their privacy and freedom to such a garbage company, no one should be using their shitty software.
If you read this blog post and honestly thought about using any of this, I have some better advice for you.
Bonus tips: Read some more articles on Privacy Guides, set NextDNS as your private DNS service, use an Email aliasing service like SimpleLogin, try to use VOIP phone numbers and virtual credit cards from Privacy.com if you are from the US.
Cause it’s fucking slow and we don’t need to waste the limited resources of the Tor Project. There are people who crucially rely on Tor, we don’t need Tor in order to pirate content.
I’m pretty happy with Simple Gallery by Simple Mobile Tools. These guys make great minimal FOSS apps that respect your privacy. Just make sure to download it from F-Droid, since the Google Play version doesn’t have all the features. If you dislike F-Droid, you can also use Obtanium to directly pull from their GitHub repo. It also notifies you whenever an update is available, and it allows you to download and install new versions of an app.
