Internet rando.

I had an F310 and I disliked it haha. Never found it to be ergonomic.
Worst is when you report these obvious bot comments and the social media website replies saying it found nothing wrong.
So annoying.
If you’re looking to kill a couple hours and love puzzle games, give 20 Small Mazes a go. I really enjoyed the variety.
Best of all, it’s free.
Enjoyed Jedi Fallen Order. Definitely got my butt kicked towards the end in terms of game difficulty.
On my phone right now so using my phone’s Downloads folder. 2 years old.
It’s this meme:
DuckDuckGo
I’m ok with static ads. Targeted advertising gets a block from me.
On the same boat.
I definitely want to go back and complete it some day.
I will hypocritically say that I use Gboard. I love Emoji Kitchen.
The day it comes to FUTO keyboard I’m outta this spyware.
On-device stuff? Sure I’ll take it. But not ones that connect online.
The audience is mostly the same so you’re not going to find many differences there. It’s mostly the platform and its philosophy you’ll find a difference in.
Especially since Apple doesn’t paywall basic health features behind a subscription.
Disappointed to see the dumb Fitbit Premium subscription carry on. Too pricey.
I like this one. Followed it last night.
I’m in this photo and I don’t like it
Targeted advertising is a huge no. No more of that.
Static advertising I can accept, but then who’s responsible for vetting ads? I don’t want scams displayed everywhere.
Devs definitely need ways to support themselves and sustain development. I’ve shared this screenshot from the app Secure Tether before:
I like to chip in a few bucks to my most used apps/services that are donationware, but after all the middlemen take their cut, the devs are left with peanuts. This IMO is the biggest hurdle when it comes to online monetization. A less expensive way to donate will certainly help.
Additionally, there are people who cannot or will not pay for apps, and I don’t want to exclude them from being able to use an app/service they need.
Monetization like how Reddit Gold was and how Discord Nitro is are some of my favorites. Few extra perks and cosmetic features for paying users. Free users are still able to use the main product at no cost and you can gift them Gold/Nitro if they aren’t able to purchase it themselves. I don’t know how that would translate into an app store model though.
@fucker@lemmy.world were fairly prominent for a while with !internetfuneral@lemmy.world
I’m not sure if mods are a proper criteria when it comes to comparing Lemmy and Reddit. The audience is mostly the same and Lemmy doesn’t automatically make people/mods better or worse.
Also, you forgot one major point: API! I get to use and support my third party app of choice Sync here on Lemmy which was killed off by Reddit.
Maybe for a month if I’m on a trip to a remote location. Don’t really see a use for it other than that.
Xbox takes a 30% cut from devs, has ads on its console and wants to charge a subscription for online gaming (now raising its price by 25%). Can’t triple dip like this, Microsoft.
Haven’t renewed PS Plus either since its price hike. Just gonna play disc games on my PS5 till the end of its lifespan.
They’ve been trying to phase out the 64 GB and 512 GB Steam Decks for a while now. Surprised they still have so many in stock.
