  • TTRPGs: first system playing in college, I’ve been playing and running games for various groups over the last ~13 years.

Video games: played so much Donkey Kong Country with my dad as a little kid. Never truly stopped ever since.

3d modeling/animation: It’s my job, and I use it for personal reasons.

Cooking: Learned along side cooking with my parents and watching food network before it was overrun with competition cooking.

  • I don’t think fascism is capable of producing competent longterm leadership. Like the ideology preselects for loyalty above all, it’s rabidly anti-intellectual and scorns anyone perceived as being an intellectual elitist. It’s purely emotion driven and requires ever escalating emotional rhetoric to keep the based angry at external all-powerfully weak enemies (lazy mexicans stealing your jobs, sneaky jewish bankers crashed the entire economy, thuggish high school dropout gangbangers in the inner city are criminal masterminds responsible for all the drugs flowing through rural communities who would overrun everything if they were smart enough to unify, take your pick of contradictory scapegoat.)

That’s not to say incompetence means harmlessness, there’s a lot of blood that has been spilled throughout history due to incompetence.

  • If I’m generally our and about, phone, wallet, keys, phone charging cable, a pen, anything else I need can be acquired as I need it.

It’s also functionally ECD is my backpack, mainly because I use it to carry my laptop with me wherever I’m likely to need it, like work, or class, or to carry a bunch of stuff like MtG decks for an MtG event, or clothes if I’m spending a night at a friend’s house.

I live in the US and its very car centric here. It’s rare that I’m ever more than a few minutes away from a source of water or food, I keep an umbrella in my car, it has AC to keep me cool, if it’s chilly out I wear a jacket.

  • I think the Aramaic spoken at the time would have been pronounced closer to Yeshua or Yeshu.

The sentiment still stands dude was pretty chill, except that one time he fliped the tables of the money changers and hucksters turning a house of worship into a house of commerce. Still pretty based of him.

  • The best definition we have for terrorism is the threat or use of illegal violence to influence the people beyond the immediate area of the attack to achieve a political, religious, ideological or monetary goal.

It’s not necessarily making a moral judgement about terrorism, just how it works. Al Qaeda is a terrorist organization because they used violence and threatened more with the goal of influencing US foreign policy on the basis of Fundamentalist Islamic theology. The IRA were also terrorists for their use and threats of violence with the political goal of unifying Ireland as one nation and taking it back from the British monarchy. Even the Founding Father’s of the US could be considered terrorists by this definition. They destroyed property and killed British citizens in our bid for independence affecting the decisions of the monarchy and parliament an entire ocean away.

  • Welcome to the paradoxical nature of fascism the greatest and most powerful country on earth is at risk from a secret cabal of highly intelligent, highly organized criminals led by the dementia riddled criminal mastermind Joe Biden crime family who’s actually being being puppeted by AOC and is a mouthpiece for Obama, and who are sending lazy, job stealing, taxpayer benefit robbing Mexicans to bring hard core drugs like marijuana and fentanyl across the wide open red carpeted border so that they can vote for democrats in elections that are also rigged in favor of democrats because that…

So yeah you get the point, fascists don’t make any sense to anyone who stops and thinks for more than a minute. Their logic is non-existent, they parrot whatever talking point they hear on their propaganda network of choice is convenient.

  • With all the people talking about how the books in this one library have been destroyed, when Israel has completely razed numerous universities, hospitals and libraries. Lives and information that has been burned from the face of the earth. This level of damage pales in comparison to the damage caused by Israel in Gaza.

If some spray paint in an American library causes you to clutch pearls but the literal bombing and razing of libraries in Gaza doesn’t get this level of response, you seriously have some inverted priorities.

Just because things were worse in the past and marginally better now doesn’t detract from the shittiness of today. And there are quite a few people trying to reimplement the policies of that time period.

Things being worse before is not justification for not progressing to something better.
