It can be hell but if your product consistently is subpar even with client meddling then that’s not a problem with bad contracts and bad clients, that’s a problem with you. And it’s not like Marvel is known for being hands off so…

As a consumer, their work is literally the only metric we have to judge them by. No one is reading quarterly reports for developers or researching into whether or not their contract went well with some publisher or IP owner. If you are consistently releasing mediocre to sub-par products then you’re going to be rightfully judged on that.

Not really when they’re the one developing it. If they can only be trusted to make their own IP then that upcoming Blade game is dead on arrival

I’m not okay with it either but I am not even remotely surprised that they harvest that amount of data. It’s why I deleted my account in like 2015 or 2016. The only way they make money is advertising and they can only do that by being more and more targeted. If you’re not paying for the product then you are the product.

I wish I could. It doesn’t support my keyboard properly. Then again I’ve got some macro stuff going on too.

Not to mention their Engine garbage crashes constantly and has barely any real illumination support. The shit about booting with certain applications works like 25% of the time. No idea why I trusted people and bought this crap. Only thing I like about it is the volume scroll wheel and the media button. Outside of that, meh. Actually the wrist rest is good but not exactly unique to them.

The big changes are mostly just that I work new hours which are weird for lemmy posting. I’ve been trying to find a way to get back into it more easily. I do miss posting so much :(

Not exclusively but they’re correlated to some degree. You’ll start on one topic which reminds you of another so you start talking about that one. That reminds you of another so you talk about the next. My roommate always says something when it happens, usually with me opening 14 youtube tabs and pausing videos to start another one.

It’s also on console if you have a Playstation or Xbox. Granted the console version is much more limited since they split the shared galaxy. Fewer options available for some stuff and less global activity both in playerbase and galaxy news. The game does have a story that is continuously going as well as galactic powers you can pledge yourself to and work for to push their influence. Aliens invading. All kinds of shit. But the story is stagnant on console now and isn’t updating. It’s just a status quo. Aliens aren’t invading as an example. They are out there and you can engage them but on PC they’re actively invading systems and needing a coordinated pushback.
