We know it reflects light, so that just tells me we haven’t used a big enough laser yet :p
IIRC vote buying is against Reddit TOS, so might have been removed for encouraging it
TBF, pot has played a big role in the making of some great music
I’d be slightly less pissed off about constantly being advertised to if all ads had the same level of effort put into them that superbowl ads do
Obligatory FUCK GALEN WESTON
This is one of the few acceptable ones IMO. Sometimes, something is bullshit, you know it’s bullshit, everyone else knows it’s bullshit, but you have no ability to fix or avoid said bullshit, so… it is what it is.
That can be fixed by changing the factors that affect difficulty. Instead of giving the enemies less health or making your attacks stronger, give the player more health or weaken the attacks of enemies on easier modes. This would result in each combat experience being roughly equal in length and intensity, but allowing a more novice player to make mistakes and soak attacks that would be fatal in higher difficulties. You would still be able to experience an enemy’s special mechanics.
This scales well in the other direction as well - say an enemy has a powerful attack that you need to dodge. On easy, you can maybe tank 3 of them from full health, medium is 2, hard is 1, and nightmare is a one-shot kill.
Another scaling option is the speed of enemies either movement speed or the time it takes for them to land hits, attack animation timing, etc.
Sounds like mods and admins can already do this, and if the barrier to entry to being an admin is firing up a Docker container, I don’t see the purpose in restricting users from seeing it
If you rented the pickup for the day, you’d still have to park it at the IKEA… this particular situation would not be avoided by not owning the truck yourself
Wasn’t it helldivers 2 that region-locked people months after release?
Roblox is about the only reason why I can’t switch my kid’s computer to Linux, they play almost exclusively that and Minecraft. Once win10 goes EOL, I’ll probably start budgeting to replace my laptop with a new PC and give them the laptop. The old PC will then get Linux and handle 3d printer stuffs
There needs to be two phases though… day and night
And the rich aren’t because they have the time and resources to be healthy
yeah, usually closing time is just buffer time for people to get their affairs in order, move out, inspections, lawyer stuff, etc. If you offer straight up cash and pay a boatload to the lawyers to get the paperwork done up ASAP, you can close likely within a couple weeks
Good backup in case your phone shits the bed or you end up somewhere with no data
Fully agree on FWD vs AWD, but on a side note, I have a RWD pickup and while I’ve never gotten myself stuck to the point of needing assistance, there’s at least a few times every year that I think ‘this would have been way easier with 4x4’ to the point that my next truck will be 4x4.
Some EVs and hybrids have a ‘one foot driving’ mode where if you take your foot off the gas, it does start to actively brake and you will eventually come to a complete stop. Technology Connections did a video on it a little while back, showing how it can be bad if the brake lights aren’t programmed to come on in this situation.
not even bro-dozer trucks, I have a un-modified (unless you count dents and rust) ~10y old pickup and a fairly new ‘sporty’ sedan (i.e. low-profile tires, stiff suspension, somewhat lower to the ground). Sedan has to come almost to a stop or I will scrape something. In the pickup slowing down is optional (though I do because regardless of speed bumps I don’t want to hit someone)
