If you’re using Steam, they use a native Linux client and a custom Proton that has all the settings and presets for their game library.
Everything I bought on Steam works for me under Linux Mint. And almost all my older games, like “Deus Ex” or “Giants: Citizen Kabuto” I can run directly under Wine with the default settings.
And never, EVER disable JavaScript on that website and reload the page! Not even if your Ad blocker lets you selectively do it.
I’ve played the original “Deus Ex” for years and I’m still discovering new things about it. I don’t even have to worry about Windows anymore. I can play it with Wine on Linux.
Also keep in mind that the astronauts communicated with Earth by radio. Anyone with even 1920s radio technology would have figured out that the astronauts weren’t broadcasting from the Moon.
We were in the middle of a cold war with the soviets back in the 1960s. Proving the moon landing was fake would have been the propaganda coup of the century for them. What possible reason would they have to stay quiet about that?
I would just assume that anyone who needed a cite for really obvious stuff is just trolling.

Yup. We need to get away from Google, if we really want privacy. I’m glad I switched to a Linux desktop, but Google collects a crap load of info.
This. It feels to me like driving a stick shift when you’ve been using an automatic transmission for years. You have to do a little more fiddling but I honestly don’t mind learning a new OS that isn’t actively working against me.
With Windows . . . on the other hand . . . every time I’ve had to go “under the hood” (tweak Registry settings, Config files, etc) it’s been to prevent Microsoft from doing something crappy to me.
Rich people have special access to the legislative machinery that you and I don’t. Through
bribes“contributions” they can craft laws that let them avoid paying their fair share of the tax burden. They can also “modify” pending legislation to remove the penalties for breaking those laws. It must be nice to live in a consequence-free environment.
