Lovely - mods are removing all comments that are pointing out that /u/CaliforniaKove has been spamming multiple instances with the same agenda for days now. I’m guessing pointing out spam and voicing disagreement is not allowed? Better yet, they’re citing community Rule 2, which has to do with reposts and in no way applies to the removed comments. Unless they mean to cite Rule 2 of lemmy.ml, which is also absurd imo considering the shit that regularly gets posted on the instance (of which I’m a member). Normally I don’t removed about getting comments removed, but not allowing people to express frustration with actual spammers, and removing their comments citing an anti-spam rule, is fucked up and smells of agenda pushing vs. actual moderation.

I’ve found Thunder to be a great replacement with some modern, gesture and UX friendly enhancements. Raccoon for Lemmy is pure magic and I highly recommend it as well, but the UX and UI are more modern and has less of that RIF, old-school forum thread scroller vibe.

What is the value in hearing opinions that denigrate your existence and way of life? Why would that make one close minded? Change your shit asap. Anyone who has access to it can theoretically auth as you on any site or product that uses that 2fa setup. They would still need to have your underlying credentials that would initiate the 2fa protocol exchange anyway, but if they have access to your underlying 2fa secret, its not too far fetched to believe they may have other credentials potentially, depending on how you’ve secured the access and where you store your credentials. To be safe and not paranoid, it’s best to just do a root trust rotation and cycle the underlying auth creds

You are still so very young and have endless possibilities in front of you. Take things at your own pace, learn new things for the sake of learning, and seek to better yourself incrementally as appropriate. Life will fall into place

Going through a breakup after a 7 year relationship in my early 30s which turned my life upside down (but ultimately led me to where I am now).

Right after I became homeless, went in and out of the hospital, went through a dark period as an active drug abuser and addict, walked out on an established, high paying profession and career, moved 1200 miles away from a city I loved, gave up on humanity and myself…etc.

But ultimately I see now that as hard as that period was, it got me to where I am today, and I would do it all over again to be where I am now: married to my best friend, father to the brightest, most joyful baby in the whole world, hitting my stride as a trusted advisor and recognized leader in an entirely different career field, living in a place I adore, in my own house that im fortunate enough to be able to afford all by myself, making art, music, and delicious food every single day, and most of all having faith in myself as an individual for the first time ever.

That experience, as dark as it was, taught me that not only can I survive anything that doesn’t actually kill me physically, but I can thrive in any environment and circumstance if I so choose.
