Agreed and I wonder if this isn’t a job that an AI might be able to help with: reading all the papers and at the very least, looking for key research subjects to compile for readers?

No more impossible than any other precise quantum measurement. But that doesn’t have to be the goal post; indirectly making measurements, even on atoms worth of mass helps. Every time we change the setup, the mass, the temperature, the measurements, we can learn something new. Cast enough shadows from different angles and you’ll be able to model what’s casting the shadow. If you study condensed matter physics you’ll quickly learn there’s a lot to be learned and gained from indirect quantum measurements.

I either want a remake of Stealth or a sequel. It wasn’t terrible, but could have been much better and a desired franchise…by me at least. Guess I’ll go re-watch Macross Plus again…

No society should have any businesses or individuals that are ultra rich. It’s one thing to surround yourself with materialistic goods and services, but to use that wealth as power and control over a huge majority is evil. I suspect when the ultra rich have proper self-repairing droves of service robots, worker drones and obedient AI, they won’t have use for most of us - I am not being hyperbole in writing this…

As far as I can tell, it’s a purple state. The right republican would have to come along to pull moderates/libertarians in the state and Trump will only lose the state again - he talked a lot of shit about John McCain; that’s not going to go well. Don’t get me wrong, every state has it’s Trump cultists, but there’s just not enough.

And so the simple saying, “you are what you eat,” must be updated to, “you are what you eat and how you digest.”

You have to go further than that. A huge population only cares about itself and has made it a part of their identity. Those who have it well don’t have to think about those without: drive to or work from home, live and socialize on internet platforms that isolate themselves from the plight of those with less. They can order everything online and have it delivered to their door - they have no clue and depending on how separated they are from those struggling, they may just say, “those people just aren’t working hard enough,” or some similar line of thinking. It’s not hopeless, but we need far more progress in the US, especially with wage inequality and affordable living/homes. Jeff Bazos is allowed to help buy up single family homes so the rich can rent them out…it makes me so angry and sad.
