Tbf Dick is in a place where if I hear the name in a context where it’s clear it’s a name… I don’t think about the alternate meaning. Karen has not reached that level yet, I feel.

That’s quite a bit shorter than I expected actually! But, sadly still not really approachable for most people.
Rhyming slang isn’t really supposed to be funny, rather obfuscatory. It’s almost like a cipher, so that anyone not in the know doesn’t understand. That’s a theory, anyway.
Do you have two tiny space bars?
I don’t think that making a selfish in game decision means the player is selfish. You might just be curious about how the story pans out. Maybe you want to do it both ways. I’ve played thieves and murderers in RPGs, I’ve lied and cheated my way out of situations, I’ve blown up Megaton… But these don’t really reflect my real self. I’ve often done the opposite, too.
That’s great! What an experience for them. Quite impractical for most, though, I assume. How long did it take you?
Unless you are a pretty serious sailor you’ll struggle with crossing the Atlantic or Pacific though.
So you care at least a little bit then. Otherwise you wouldn’t be able to care less.
“Lovercraftian” is a fun typo. I’m imagining developing a casual fwb relationship with Azathoth. Taking Cthulhu for a long walk on the beaches around R’lyeh…
Sure, if you live somewhere with parasitic worms you should take extra care. Still, you aren’t cleaning bacteria off anything with water.
There’s one small community on Reddit that just doesn’t exist here. Well, it does, but there’s like 5 members lol. If it weren’t for that I’d jump ship entirely. I am thinking maybe I’ll find a separate specific forum just for that one topic…
Fair enough. Personally I find the motion sickness mostly down to the game rather than headset, I didn’t know that the frame rate had an effect!
It seems like you’re taking from the phrase “male privilege” an accusation that this is somehow men’s fault. I think the other commenter said it perfectly well, just because a privilege is afforded to a group doesn’t mean that group is responsible for that privilege. It’s still a privilege that they have.
In your example, wearing dresses might well be considered “female privilege”, yes. I doubt you’d hear this talked about because it’s quite minor, but you’re not wrong. Another example which illustrates it well is “pretty privilege” - we all know that life is easier for attractive people. That doesn’t mean they are oppressing average or unattractive people personally. They just have advantages. Not their fault, still a privilege.
This is not the gender euphoria I’m looking for
You don’t need anything like that much for a Quest 2/3. Quest 2 is obviously a bit outdated, but I still have fun with mine.
When you rinse salad with water you are not cleaning a significant amount of bacteria off it. You’re getting soil and bugs.
Unless your salad is contaminated with something, not washing it will at worst be gritty and unpleasant. It won’t make you ill. If it does, washing it will make no difference.
What gives you the impression they are framing it that way?
What is the formula you’re talking about? Games are so diverse it’s pretty hard to see what single formula there could be that covers them all.
Hamas are, I think, a lesser bad guy to Israel’s big bad. Hamas are an inevitable consequence of a settler neighnour like Israel… the conflict is very old. Perhaps really the bad guy was Britain & the UN back in the 40s, who carved up Mandatory Palestine to create Israel & Palestine. You can trace it farther back to the origins of Zionism, too, in the late 19th century, and again British Zionists allowing settlers into Mandatory Palestine in the 20s.
I’d suggest reading over the history yourself and making up your own mind. The Wikipedia article is a good starting point imo. It’s a long and complex conflict with no clear “good” or “bad” side.
What I think personally is that Israel was founded by colonist settlers, supported by imperial western powers. The Arab locals have resisted as best they could but been repeatedly defeated, while Israel’s western support has allowed it to grow and grow. They have expanded far beyond the original borders by settling and stealing land from the Palestinians. Hamas is the most recent military faction in opposition, and it certainly has done terrible things… But a terrorist insurgency is an inevitable consequence of a settler nation attempting to take over a much less powerful neighbour. If it wasn’t Hamas, it would be another group.
Maybe if Hamas are truly wiped out, we’ll get lucky and the next one will be slightly less insane… But I doubt it. And you can bet Israel will use whoever they are as an excuse to continue their brutal occupation and wage yet more war in the region, while the rest of the world looks on.
