Its not an actual competitor considering you need both a samsung smartphone and the galaxy store app to acfuallactually download apps. The discounted apps are limited to samsung smartphones. Meanwhile, those brought on Playstore can be installed in any google play services compatible smartphone.

Its a total ghost town in the Samsung Store though its pretty much useless anyways.
