Disagree. I’ve worked on some projects that would absolutely fall apart without our PMs. They are vital.

Waiting for the MS apologists to say this is a Crowdstrike problem or some other fucking dumbass shit.
Microsoft by and large are just computational cancer at this point. Bloat, crud, fud, and junk.
Give onshape a look. If you’re using it personally it’s free, only all your save files are public. There’s a lot of free training courses that are really well done and easy to work through.
You mean the pensioners that barely leave their house don’t want to be inconvenienced? I’m shocked!
Then I have to carry one. Plus you can be far more anonymous.
I use google pay as much as humanly possible so that’s not an option for me unfortunately.
I was always a cheap Nexus/Pixel A guy that traded up when the new budget phones went for sale on the Play store. I got my 6A for like 150 bucks brand new. When the 8A was announced for 500 dollars and barely better than the 6A I jumped to a refurbished 7 Pro and I’ll probably just keep this phone until something really special comes out or I just abandon carrying a cellphone all together [most likely.]
Arch let’s you install kernels till /boot is full…
I was you for a while but now when I feel myself getting wrapped into something that I know will keep me awake [mostly projects] I had to develop the habit of putting it off until the first thing in the morning. I actually think I end up spinning my wheels much, much less when I attack big problems first thing in the morning.
I turned working 3rd shift into working at 6am and I have zero regrets. I can BE a night person, EASILY, but I love that my sleep is now sun-bound, mostly.
If racing to the bottom was a competition, you’d still be second behind Yugthos and their army of Canadian-based hot-takes. The only thing you’re winning is second place, always.
Why not just call out their tankie bullshit? It’s fun, entertaining, and rewarding.
Is this defederation bullshit going to be the next post that every newbie makes? You can do it yourself – don’t tell me what to do.
Why not 3d print? I’ve taught myself a ton of CAD and sm now learning surface modeling. When I’m ready for a CNC, I’ll be ready.
I have a 24GB M2 and the thing dances around anything I throw at it. I’m typing on it right now with Onshape in a few tabs, orcaSlicer in a few windows, work in a few chrome tabs, a few iterm sessions, and a million other little apps in the background with very little hickups.
You’d think maybe not being reliant on a 90 billion dollar company to un-fuck security would be a bigger deal than it is.
Sounds like a confidence issue. Why do you give a shit about other people? Like ---- at all.
If I am designing something in CAD the whole world falls away and before I know it, its 10 hours later. Just like coding. I couldn’t give a shit about anyone or anything during those moments. I am about to get into a new CAD design right now [and get the fuck off lemmy.] and will probably be at it all morning.
Right, but you can certainly use lower level CS knowledge to do fun and whimsical things.
