The implication being that iPhone users are just minding their own business instead of the reality of making fun of Android users for ridiculous things.

Fucking real, though. The cultural group responsible for checks notes “shaming people who have the wrong bubble color in texts”?, suddenly think they’re the one’s being unjustly preached to? The joke in this image is not the one OP thought they were making.

The only thing I hear about is people not continuing to talk to prospective dates due to having green bubbles which is dumb as fuck too. I hate all that shit.

    Corporate fanboys say what?

Both of these companies are fucking scum who don’t actually care about end users, what gives? Why are we jerking off either company?

Have phones gotten any new exciting features in a while?

I remember enjoying upgrading my phone in the aughts and early tens, but it seems like most devices have plateaued and they’re all pretty much the same now.

The exception being foldables, but I’m not really sure that’s something I want or would use fully.

Not in my opinion. I keep them for 5+ years usually.

Foldable seem like a gimmick to me.

I’ve got a flagship Samsung device from 2020. The screen has cracked in an unimportant way on the front and over one of the camera housings on the back, but I can’t even tell which camera is affected by it, so I guess I didn’t need that one anyway.

Hate the camera bumps. Sucks that those became standard.

I was looking into getting a new phone but it just seems like a waste of money.

The Huawei devices look good and for a fair price, but I can’t even get them in the USA. So… I guess I keep this?

The foldable looks kinda useful for reading and in use with a stylus, but they’re so much money… and I bet that thing gets dust in it and scratches easily.

I have the fold 6 and I absolutely love it! It’s so much easier for people with bad eyesight like me. The screen is big and if you rotate it, apps behave like they are on a tablet

No. I daily a Galaxy S23. I really like it except for all of Samsungs preinstalled apps that can’t be deleted.

A couple months back, I bought a refurbished OnePlus 6T (2018) to mess around with Linux and de-Googled Android, and guess what, my phone which is 5 years newer feels virtually no different. It does have a better camera, granted, but personally that doesn’t effect me as I do any serious photography with a proper camera anyway (also, I have to acknowledge that the 6T is slower as it’s not really a flagship phone like the S23, but the 6T feels comparable quality and performance wise to some mid range 2024 phones I’ve used).

Bottom line, unless we see more Apple M-style chipsets in phones, imo, we’re at a plateau. You could get a $200 5 year old phone and be fine.

No brand shaming here. There is nothing wrong. People with low self esteem need fancy stylish bling bling stuff. For these people an iPhone is nothing more than an accessory, you must have, because without you are not a cool kid and your life is meaningless. /s

Who cares about technical features if you life in this broken self esteem world?

This, just as an example for not doing the technical discussion with apple people.

lol I work in tech and plenty of my colleagues and I have iPhones and we’re more technical than 99.9% of the population, including Android users.

We’re just thinking about tech that isn’t phones so we don’t give a shit about the refresh rate or clock speeds. We’re not gaming on the damn thing.

I’ve got a computer for that.

But then why spend so much money on a phone? I also don’t care about the specs of my phone, but this means I usually buy some $100 phone that gets the job done for a couple years.

I genuinely don’t see a reason why someone would buy an iPhone besides as a fashion accessory/ status symbol

Fuck all your bubbles, or any other argument you may have had. The real reason Apple sucks is fucken Apple Configurator. I’m so fucken happy I rarely have to use that piece of shit software anymore.

It’s ironic that about 50% of the phone OS stuff (that isn’t actual technical discussion) I see is iPhone users complaining about Android users saying iOS sucks. 40% is iPhone users saying Android sucks, and 10% is Android users saying iOS sucks.

I’m on an iPhone 12 and my backup phone is a Nexus 5 that has probably had about 10 different ROMs on it lol. 🤷
