Wait, do people eats less than at least one frozen pizza per meal? Like, I don’t get them often, but I need two to feel full.
(I always get shit for writing about portion sizes, I’m only 70kg)
Some just eat a lot. I do sometimes, not frozen pizza but other stuff, but then I also regularly skip both breakfast and lunch or dinner without really thinking about it so on the whole I don’t think I eat more than others. I’m around 60 KG. The one that makes people look is when I pack away 30 pieces of sushi while they ordered 10 pieces and are somehow satisfied. That or how I can kill a full bag of potato chips (300 g) in one sitting, a cool 1500 kcal of crispy goodness.
My weakness is Oreos.
This could be an American thing.
I’m a big eater and sometimes feel like I could eat two cheap frozen pizzas.
When I went to America think I finished one meal and that’s because I was hungover, haven’t eaten all day and starving.
Their meal sizes are fucking insane.
The meal I ate was in waffle house. It’s this danky looking chain restaurant, it has this sad looking yellow and brown colours, all the furniture is plastic and tacky, they have basic coffee and pretty oily food that is super basic, waffles, eggs toast then you got to put a load of butter and sugar on top. As it’s open all the time and cheap it is full of people at all hours and a frequent stop for drunk college kids.
Anyway turns out it is amazing! Everyone should go.
Here are two chefs talking about how great it is.
You just have to add enough cheese
The post doesn’t specify pizza size, you could be thinking of smaller pizzas than the post.
I think that’s just you. I weigh like 40kg more than you, and I usually eat 3/8 pieces when I make a frozen pizza
I’m honestly curious, do you snack a lot or something? Where do your calories come from?
I looked up a few frozen pizzas you can get in my area and they are around 800-900 kcal. Assuming you eat 3/8 per meal, that’s 9/8 a day, or up to about 1000 kcal. On the basis that you average a similar amount of calories per meal and consume the usual three meals.
The average man needs between 2000 and 3000 kcal. Woman start at 1600.
Since I gun for at least 2800 kcal and my average breakfast is about 600 kcal, my other meals need to be ~1200 kcal (1.3-1.5 pizzas). I never eat outside of meals except for maybe once over the weekend.
What’s up with all these fractions. Let’s calm down
It’s a little more than the recommended serving size on the pizzas I get. And I do usually add some extra toppings and cheese to make it better. I work from home, and don’t have any particularly active hobbies, especially in the winter, so it’s definitely enough for me for one meal. And my stomach is definitely full. I can only eat a fourth piece of im really starving
Im about your weight, but a whole pizza is usually enough. More than enough if I wash it down with coke
Weekend with no plans, ADHD edition:
- wake up
- looking forward to a full day of fatty food, gaming and shitposting on lemmy
- go downstairs to make scrambled eggs
- all pans are dirty
- dishwasher still broken
- partner asks if I’ve got the present for her aunt’s birthday which is today and I apparently agreed to go to with her, 2 months ago
- the day spirals downward from there
Need to add a free space for “time travel”, it’s where you look at the clock and it’s 9:13a and then minutes later when you look again it’s 2a the next morning
Yeah, no kidding.
There are those special weekends though where you think it’s 4pm and the clock only says 11am.
I find that getting up early, no matter how tired I am (and even if it means I need to nap later) makes weekends feel significantly longer.
When you win weekend Bingo on a Wednesday night
BLACKOUT!
What’d I win?
The same shit all over again
A blackout. You already collected it.
You don’t remember what you won?
Slept in, set record, smoked, ignored messages and although I didn’t eat a frozen pizza I did cook only chicken legs for dinner…
Do I get anything special for doing all 9? That’s like… 8 bingos
When you do all 9 for 9 weekends in a row, then you get to claim you accomplished something
I don’t remember many of these from the movie…

I spend my home alone weekends setting up a series of elaborate traps in case some bandits try to rob my house.
I filled the whole card up before 10am. :/
I’m proud of you for waking up before 10am!
I mean… Technically 3pm the previous day is before 10am the next 🤷🏻♂️
Weekend? This is like my daily routine.
I was laid off during covid and had severance, PTO payout, stimulus checks, and a healthy savings account so I definitely did this for about a month before I decided to get my shit together.
relax now…, sleep in, and binge youtube (well, really long letsplay, really) done, spiral scheduled for about 5 or 6 hours from now.
Just print this out and throw bean bags at it to pick the activity. Like a “jump to conclusions” mat, but better.
Am I the only one who began to hate wasting time on weekends? I am 28 and I have mostly wasted my time playing video games or watching TV shows earlier, but now I just can’t do that, and if I don’t spend time learning or working on something I am just stressed out.
To each their own. Just be sure it’s making you happy.
I work to live, but I don’t live to work.
Life is short and I thoroughly enjoy playing a video game without a care in the world. With a kid and a house, I have plenty on my plate. I don’t go out of my way looking for extra work. If the opportunity arises for me to “waste time” I take it and enjoy it without guilt.
Last night I got to play Lethal Company with two of my friends. Most fun I’ve had in months. No regrets.
In the same boat as you, but hell yeah nothing wrong with “wasting time” playing video games with friends!
My wife and I moved across the country so I highly value playing video games with my friends from back home, we play with our webcams on in discord so it’s the closest I have to quality time, given our distance from each other
It could be a symptom of anxiety, specifically time anxiety. Feeling like you “have” to be working on something and relaxing is “wasting” time is a consequence of hustle/grind culture that is linked to broader economic anxiety.
Are you able to meaningfully measure how productive you actually are? Research into productivity has shown that resting properly in moderation is linked to more efficient work output.
…what exactly is the world record?
Definitely more then 3 otherwise I just broke it O_o
Definitely more than 3. Nice try tho.
