At this stage the move is largely a symbolic measure to express solidarity with the Palestinians as, he said, the union’s workers have yet to be involved in any weapons shipments to Israel since the Gaza war began.

But blocking arms and ressource shipments to Russia is not an Option, because (and that is a quote): ‘We are advocating to going back to diplomacy and value the territorial integrity of every country, but do not intervene into internal affairs of Russia.’

How is the unprovoked attack of Russia on Ukraine something to not intervene, but the war of Israel on Palestine after the attack of Hamas on October 7th is?

That’s just double standards exposed. Either you see yourself as a global power, supporting weaker countries and the right side or you focus on your internal affairs and do not intervene. But only supporting countries if it fits your own strategy is inconsistent.

Edit: Nevermind, its just unions blocking the arms deals, not the government.

India hasn’t sold any weapons to Russia at least since the war started.
